Can you sponsor the incredible June Suttie (formerly Pennykid) class of 1996, to run the Stockholm Marathon on 1 June 2024, in aid of the We are All George Heriot campaign?
As a former pupil and current parent, June made a rather spur of the moment decision in January 2024 to get running:
'I ran 4 marathons in my 20s/early 30s: Edinburgh (twice), Sydney and New York (which was my last marathon in 2011). This marathon will definitely be more challenging than the others for me: age aside, I haven’t run long distances for many years and have got far less time to train than I did previously on account of work and family commitments.
'I didn’t plan on running another marathon until 2028 to mark my 50th but I’m really relishing the challenge and looking forward to enjoying the marathon weekend in Stockholm with my husband and kids!
'I’m incredibly grateful for my time at Heriot’s and this is the year to “pay it forward”!'
